NYRAG Forms New Collaborative with Gulf Coast Funders for Equity (GCFE)

NYRAG is pleased to announce a new relationship with Gulf Coast Funders for Equity (GCFE)—a dynamic and highly respected Gulf Coast-based collaborative organization. Our first collaborative program in New York—Empowering the Gulf Coast: The Role of Advocacy in Advancing the Transformative Rebuilding Process—will present six Gulf Coast community leaders who have changed policies, raised awareness, and empowered the communities in which they work, and will discuss ways the philanthropic community can collaborate with nonprofits to advance the transformative rebuilding process in the region.   • LGBTQ Grantmakers 2008 Report Card on Racial Equity
    LGBTQ GrantmakersLGBTQ Grantmakers surveyed nineteen LGBTQ foundations to determine if, and how, they incorporate issues of race into their work. Included in the report are ‘best practices’ examples for how foundations can better incorporate multiple areas of diversity in their grantmaking, governing documents, policies/practices, demographics/leadership, and strategic communications.
