Programs

Each year Philanthropy New York offers more than 200 programs and events designed to support the professional development of staff at a range of grantmaking organizations, engage members in discussions about topics key to effective philanthropy, foster an exchange of useful information and nurture the growth of a vibrant learning community.

Our programs:

  • focus on funding areas and topics of interest for our sector;
  • build institutional skills and knowledge, and a deeper understanding of philanthropy, for our members;
  • expose funders to new trends, initiatives and collaboratives; and
  • provide funders with peer-to-peer networking and learning opportunities.

Philanthropy New York is deeply committed to investing in the leadership of our members as we work together to build and equitable, sustainable and democratic society. We break down barriers and provide pathways for individual members, member institutions, and PNY to exercise influence and become agents of change. Learn more about our Leadership Development programming and how you can get involved.

We continually work to expand the number, complexity and visibility of our programming and go to great lengths to ensure our offerings both serve and represent the broad range of philanthropic organizations and viewpoints within our community.

In addition to taking part in our programs, we encourage members to help us build a learning community for our sector. Learn how you can get involved.

Please also note our new year-long Speaker Honorarium Policy Pilot.
